Hi Anna! Please introduce yourself!

I am Anna, a postgraduate student and I have just finished a performing arts degree. I would really like to go into performance but right now I am focusing on another route into the creative industries.

I am working for the NHS as a part-time role alongside a MSc in Marketing and searching for a placement for next year. Even though I still study, I am in the mindset of job searching – it is stressful and I am juggling a lot right now while trying to look out for any opportunities in the arts (I know, its a long shot right now!)

Where do you see yourself in ten years time?

As long as I’m helping yo make a difference in some way I’ll be happy! I really want to focus on theatre in some way but recognise that this will take a while.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into your field?

What I really would advise someone who is focusing in theatre and is eager to enter this field is to look out for opportunities but also create your own opportunities.

This can be through using an online platform to post performance work, practice training your voice, work on movement and keeping yourself active and your voice heard. If it’s the thing that you really want to do, don’t let your confidence slip.

How do you like to unwind?

I like to unwind by going for a walk, getting a hot drink, cooking or watching a good TV show.
